Payroll line of credit

A line that’s there on onboarding week because you opened it before the contract.

Timecard Capital opens staffing agency lines of credit from $25,000 to $500,000, with draws repaid over 6 to 24 months, a 600 minimum FICO, 12 months in business, and $25,000 a month in deposits. You pay only on what you draw. Open in 1 to 3 business days, and same-day on draws once the line is open.

Why is a line the right product for a payroll spike?

A working capital advance is a single event: you take the money, you repay it, it’s done. A line is a tool you keep. Open it when the statements look their best — a steady quarter with clients paying on time — then draw against it the week a new contract puts forty people on payroll before a single invoice is approved.

That ordering matters in staffing more than most industries. The worst time to go looking for capital is the Thursday before the first payroll on a contract you just won, with a bank that wants two years of financials.

Open the line before you sign the client.

An unused line costs nothing. There is no maintenance fee and no cost on an undrawn balance. You are charged only on what you actually draw.

Lines are reviewed every 6 months and grow with deposit history. Once the line is open, a draw lands the same business day.

Is the money you need always sitting in unpaid invoices? Invoice factoring has no credit minimum and scales with your billing. Already carrying an advance? A term loan is the consolidation path. Call and we will tell you which one fits before you apply.

Draws

What do staffing agencies draw a line of credit for?

What agencies draw on
DrawWhy a line fits
Onboarding a large contractScreens, orientation pay and PPE for a whole crew go out before the first invoice is even raised.
First two payrolls on a new net-60 clientBridges the gap until the facility or the client’s first payment catches up.
A client that slipped from net-30 to net-75One late payer should not put payroll on a credit card.
Seasonal rampTax-season accounting temps, summer event crews, holiday warehouse surges — draw, bill, repay, draw again next year.
A workers’ comp deposit or premium audit true-upLumpy, unavoidable, and timed to the carrier’s calendar rather than yours.

If your draws are always against invoices your clients haven’t paid yet, compare invoice factoring — it is usually cheaper for that exact pattern and has no credit minimum.

What a staffing agency needs to qualify.

Every number below is a real criterion. Factoring is the product most agencies start with, so its minimums come first. If you clear these, apply. If you don’t, call us and we’ll tell you what would change it.

Straight answers

Line of credit questions, answered.

What does an unused line cost?

Nothing. There is no maintenance fee and no cost on an undrawn balance. Timecard Capital charges only on what you actually draw, which is why agencies open the line before the big contract starts and leave it sitting until onboarding week.

How fast is a draw?

Same business day once the line is open. Initial setup takes 1 to 3 business days.

Should I get a line of credit or factoring?

If the cash you need is always sitting in unpaid invoices, factoring is usually cheaper and grows with your billing. If you need a cushion for costs that aren’t tied to an invoice — onboarding, a deposit, a slow month — a line fits. Many agencies run both. Read the comparison.

What credit score do I need?

600 or higher, with 12 months in business and $25,000 a month in deposits. If you are under that, factoring has no minimum score and working capital has none either.

Does the line grow?

Lines are reviewed every 6 months and grow with deposit history. An agency that opened at $50,000 and has doubled its billing is reviewed on the new numbers.

Open it before the contract. Draw it on onboarding week.

$25,000 to $500,000, 600+ FICO, no cost on an unused line. Open in 1 to 3 business days.
